Louis & Partner HCM Officially Established, Opening a New Chapter in Legal Services

On November 8, 2024, the grand opening ceremony of Louis & Partner HCM was held at the Sheraton Hotel in Saigon. This event marks a new milestone for Louis Group, following the establishment of the Bangkok, Thailand law firm in 2019 and the Hanoi, Vietnam law frim in 2022. The new office in Ho Chi Minh City underscores the firm’s commitment to the development potential of the Southeast Asian market and adherence to Taiwan’s New Southbound Policy. The new firm aims to provide local clients in Ho Chi Minh City with direct and professional legal services. The opening ceremony attracted a wide range of distinguished guests, including representatives from the Taiwanese office in Vietnam, local Vietnamese officials, and guests from Taiwan and Thailand, all gathering to witness this historic moment.

The ceremony began with a vibrant cultural performance featuring traditional Vietnamese hat dancing set to the classic song “Hello Vietnam,” symbolizing the official launch of Louis & Partner HCM’s services in the city. Official representatives and business leaders, including Director Han Kuo-Yao of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City, President Tsai Wen-Jui of the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, and Supervisor Alex Wu of the Council of the Asia Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce, were invited to give speeches, expressing their high hopes for the future development of the firm. Amidst enthusiastic applause, the honored guests jointly cut the ribbon, officially marking the start of the new office.

Louis & Partner HCM aims to provide clients with more convenient and professional legal services. The Ho Chi Minh legal team consists of experienced lawyers and legal professionals who are well-versed in the Vietnamese legal system, and they are capable of offering tailored legal solutions in Chinese for Mandarin-speaking clients. According to Executive Director Steve Yeh, given the recent trend of supply chains shifting to the Indochina Peninsula, Taiwanese enterprises already established in Vietnam and those planning to enter the market hold great potential to become market leaders. Ensuring legal compliance and leveraging the law to facilitate business growth are crucial steps. Louis Group CEO Raymond Yu also shared insights during the ceremony on how Taiwan’s legal service sector, in line with Taiwan’s New Southbound Policy, assists Taiwanese companies in establishing themselves in Thailand, Vietnam, and other regions while handling complex cross-border legal matters.

Louis & Partner HCM is dedicated to deepening its presence in the Vietnamese market, actively expanding its business scope, and providing more comprehensive legal services to clients. Additionally, the firm will strengthen collaboration with local government agencies, chambers of commerce, and professional groups to contribute to economic and trade exchanges between Taiwan and Vietnam, creating greater value for clients.
